The
National Facility Management Association
was founded in October, 1980 at Ann Arbor, Michigan,
United States of America, by a group of forty
(40) professional facility managers. Its professional
growth in 1982 led to changing the name to the
International Facility Management Association
(IFMA) to reflect the International make-up,
scope and membership of the Association. |

BOMA International was
founded in 1907 as the National Association of
Building Owners and Managers. The association
assumed its present name in 1968 as it broadened
its reach to include Canada and participants
from around the globe. The vision of the Building
Owners & Managers Association
(BOMA BC) is to be recognized as the principal
voice, through leadership and advocacy, for the
commercial buildings industry. |
